Your path to a barbering career: No High School Diploma? No Problem!

Unlike many traditional educational paths, Southeast Barber College focuses on practical skills and industry readiness. We do not require a high school diploma or GED for admission, making quality barber training accessible to a wider range of individuals. We also do not have an age limit, welcoming both young enthusiasts eager to start their careers and experienced individuals looking for a new path. Your motivation is what matters most!

I. Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission to Southeast Barber College, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Identification:

    • Applicants must provide valid government-issued photo identification. (e.g., Driver's License, State ID, Passport).
    • Applicants must provide a Social Security Card or other official documentation of their Social Security Number.
  2. Financial Capability:

    • Applicants must demonstrate the ability to handle the financial obligations of the tuition and fees associated with their chosen program.
    • This may involve a discussion with our Financial Aid Advisor or Admissions Representative to review payment plans, potential financial aid options (if applicable), or other methods of demonstrating financial responsibility.
  3. Personal Interview:

    • All applicants are required to complete a personal interview with an Admissions Representative. This allows us to discuss your career goals, answer your questions, and ensure our program is the right fit for you.

II. The Admissions Process (Step-by-Step)

We've made our admissions process as simple as possible. Follow these steps to begin your journey to becoming a licensed barber:

Step 1: Initial Inquiry & Campus Visit

  • Schedule a Tour: We highly recommend scheduling a personal campus tour. This is your chance to see our state-of-the-art facilities, observe classes in action, and get a feel for our vibrant learning environment.
  • Meet Admissions: During your visit, you'll meet with an Admissions Representative who will answer all your questions about programs, requirements, and career opportunities.

Step 2: Submit Your Application

  • After your campus visit, you can submit your official application. Our Admissions Representative will provide you with the necessary forms.
  • Application Fee: ($25)

Step 3: Provide Required Documentation

  • Gather and submit all necessary documents to your Admissions Representative:
    • Valid Government-Issued Photo ID
    • Social Security Card

Step 4: Financial Aid Consultation & Plan (If Applicable)

  • If you are interested in exploring financial aid options, our Financial Aid Advisor will work with you to understand available funding sources and eligibility. We will also discuss various payment plans to help you meet your financial obligations.

Step 5: Enrollment Agreement & Start Date

  • Once all requirements are met and your application is approved, you will review and sign the Enrollment Agreement.
  • You will then be assigned a program start date based on the next available class schedule.
